Are you ready to go to the next grade level?
What experiences did you have this year that got you ready to go to the next grade level? For example: what did you learn, what activities did you do, did anyone talk to you about what next year will be like?
School helps to make you more mature and be ready to keep up with the kinds of real, unreasonable, pointless things you have to do later on in life. Often your boss may tell you to do something that is unintelligent, but if you want to keep your job, you'll do it. It's the same way with school; if you want to pass, you're going to have to do what your teacher says.
Something that got me ready for the next level was all of the AP test preperations. It allowed teachers to challenge and teach me more difficult things that i need to learn for the next year and to pass the ap test.
Well im ready to go to the 7th grade, but im still nervous to do so and to take new challenges for some reason.Like the time I was five my mom toke me to the dentest to get my tooth puled out but I was such a cawered to go in by myself but as I got older ive learned to go the dentest by my self now and im not scared of that sonding thingy that cleans your teath that was and is one of the things that im still scared of till now that i have growen up to be a matcher teenager.
Ouch! Those dental visits can be hard! New challenges are always hard, but life will be full of challenges. It sounds like most of you agree that, although you are nervous about middle school, you are up for the challenge. This is great!!!!!!
I liked second grade alot. In my 2nd grade homeroom, I did alot of math. My favorite type of math was multipucaition. I can do it fast. My two favorite classes were art and science. I am in pgp. In 3rd grade I will go to Benwood.
I liked seond grade. In 2nd grade I liked art and science.I am in PGP.Reading and writing is getting me prepared for 3rd grade.PGP is getting me ready for benwood!
My math teacher keeps telling us how its middle school you have to grow up. Anyways I do know how it feels like. In 5th grade we had a Gradutation thing & after I got my dipomla I felt like a 6th grader already.
I feel like I learned alot of math and have progressed. However, I am scared to go to middle school because I'm shy and we'll be the "little kids" again.
i've been at Terrace for 7 years and have leaned alot. I've learned in5th grade that middle school well br very had and all the info i have heard i still am not ready to go because i will miss all the good memeries i have had at such a great school!!!!=]
I've had many experiences concerning high school. For example, everything we learned in our classes get us educated and let us know what to expect in high school.
I believe that our teachers have prepared us to go on and be ready for the next grade level. We talked to former eight graders that came to our school and told us what we had to be ready for the next year.
Yes, actually I am ready to go to 9th grade, because being in sports made me more preparied for high school sports. Also my sisiter has always been talking to me about high school, and the classes I have to tke to take to get my credits. Besides I have Pre Ap classes and i'm already learning about 9th grade Math, Science, History, and Language Arts.
Yes I'm kind if ready to go to the next grade level. Some experience I had was my reading. Some teachers told me that the next grade level will be hard and to study more so I can be ready.Besides help from my Pre-Ap classes made me more prepared.
Yes, I do think that Im ready to go to the next grade level. I believe that I have worked hard enough, and that I have the knowledge to go on with the nest grade level. Another reason why I think Im ready is because I am a really involved person because Im in band, choir, and I've played played all the sports. I also feel prepared because all my classes are Pre-Ap. My sister is somebody I talk to about my next grade level and tells me I can be more well prepared for high school.
The experiences that i have had this year that prepared me to go to the next grade level were that i learned to be responsible by turning in my paperwork early, and not getting introuble. It also helped me by doing sports in school to make new friends.People tell me that high school is going to be the best years of my life, that we're going to have more opportunities in life to get me prepared for what comes ahead.
We took a tour of Northbrook high and we had caoches from Northbrook high and they talked to us about freshman camp.I talked to some freshman and they said dont be scared.
i had lots of expirences this year, like when our assistant principal talks to us about our future. We went to Texas A and M And the hgh school came to talk to us about life in high school. I learned that education is the most important thing in life.
Some experiences I've got me ready to go to the next grade are that the language arts teacher helped us reading thicker books and packettsto work on while we read the books. The teachers tried making us mature and diciplined so when we go to highschool we and our old school can have a good image. I've noticed that its going to get even harder every year and I have to be responsible because we need our grades to be good in highschool so we can get credits. That's what my sister said.
So far I`m not ready. I dont want to start another year being the new student. I wouldn`t want to go and start another year, but if I could stay Ireally would because I`ve heard the teachers are really cool.
What I learned for the next grade level are prewriting strategies in Language Arts. I learned how to play the clarinet and how to play music in band. Discovering new scientific things in science. Learning some Algebra in math.
i am sure that i am going to the next grade because i am a good student that i never get in trouble i schooland i learn how to play the piano and i love the piano
Seven grade was good , but eight grade moght be better because I might learned new things from math , lang. arts , ect . I mght meet new poeple. one new thig I laearned this year was algebra. I am looking foward to 8th grade.

I learned this year in languagearts how to write a poem, rougph draft, and editing papers. In orchestra I learned how to play a viola and learned the body parts and the notesand the activities we didi was our warm up's. Art i learned to draw and paint and the activities we did was making a chair and painting the school pole. My math and language arts teacher told me how hard is going to be in 8th grade like there will be a lot of test.
This year I have learned a lot about going on to the 8th grade. My math teacher has taught us same 8th grade math and told us that we have to ask questions if we need to and giving us some advise for what to do. A lot of my other teachers have told us to try our best and they tought us about what to be ready for in 8th grade.
This year I have learned a lot about going to the 8th grade my teachers have taught me what it's like in 8th grade. I have learned to work harder to go somewhere in life, and my teachers are making me more brilliant to be ready for 8th grade.
This year it was fun.I learned a lot of things about math. What i think got me to the next grade is not to talk to other people when the teacher is giving directions. Teachers talk to me about 8th grade and it sounded fun and I think that helped me to try my best.
I'm afraid I might not make it to the 9th grade. Question. If you don't pass in one class (I got a D+ in a language class) will it hold you from advancing to the next grade level?
Please, I'm really scared. It's my fault, but I hope I can advance :(
yeah im ready for the next grade.!! of course-well no im probably not haha but i still want to get to frikken hight skool already!get that freshman stuff over with.// whatever i guess im ready...byee love --sophia A.:)
Right now I am a senior, I am very concerned about what lifeis going to be after this year. I have so many plans so many decisions to make it sometimes becomes overwhelming. i can only worka hard and hope that my future holds something positive for me.
Spring Branch students, this is your opportunity to talk about your learning experience-- what you like, what you would like to change, what excites you (or not) and what you would like to see us do to make learning worth your time.
I am going to post topics on occasion and would like your feedback on these topics. If you want to, put your first name and school. If you don't want to put your school, then please share your age.
I have an opportunity to affect your experiences in the classroom and I am listening!
I learn a lot but I'm worried about math.
