No one EVER listens to me!!!!

Do you ever feel like you are beating your head against a wall trying to get an adult to see things the same way you see them? Have you ever had an idea that you think is great but NO ONE will listen to you?

When you want the rules to change(dress code, cell phones in class, etc) what do you do? How do you talk to your teachers or principals to get them to understand your point of view?

I thing we should be able to have ipods and cell phones out if we had good grades and it would inspire people to get better grades so they can be on their phones and ipods .

  5. Our class has talked about rules that we would like to change at school. We want to bring toys to school. Our toys include stuffed animals, psp, i touches, cell phones, DS, DSI, ipods, board games and other things. We want to bring these toys because: we want to have more fun with learning, we can learn math with the games, we want to have some "free time" , we can learn to get along with each other. Thank you for listening to us!

  6. hi jennifer blaine,
at my school, 6th graders get to have i touches in thei language arts class, while 7th graders don't, they will also get to take them home and do homework on them, and do classroom work on them! Not fair! every grade level should have i touches for the same things 6th graders do! Otherwise, it wouldn't be a middle school anymore! I touches are fun, and interesting to so many people! Why not have interesting things in every grade level so that students will be interested in that class! i suggest that i touches should be in the 7th grade and 8th grade classroom, to use in every subject!!!!

  7. Hi! I couldn't agree with you more about everyone getting the chance to use the i touch. We are trying them out right now in some of our classrooms in our schools in Spring Branch. I hope that we will get to see more i touches in more classrooms next year. Be sure to tell your teachers and your principals how much you want the i touch!!!!

  8. Hi I am Laura and i am in the 7th gradre at cornerstone academy. At my school only 6th graders get i touches! I mean we get them in the library but only on mondays and a t lunch time! If 6th graders get them then ALL of the grades should! ITS NOT FAIR! My freind and I asked the principal about it and she said she would do some thing but nothing happened!

  9. Your principal is a great person and I am sure she will try hard to get you all more i touches. I think that you will see more i touches in schools next year. Right now we are sort of "trying them out" to see how well they work on our network. It seems like you all enjoy them as much as having a laptop. Do you think that the i touch is better for class and homework or the laptop?

  10. Hi Jennifer Blaine,my name is janet and i am a 7th grader at cornerstone academy. The perfect thing would be having a personal laptop, and do everything on there, i do not like moving to one class and another, and it wastes time, and i think laptops are quicker with so much resources to use, and WORD, and it would make our days in school easier! We Won't have to waste so much money on pencils, and other supplies, when we have one compact thing, called the laptop! And if we have to turn something in, then we just should print it, a laptop was a great invention, i wonder who made it.......

  11. to listening to your answer, i think i touches are better, and so are laptops, it is fifty fifty, because laptops are cool, yeah they have internet and all that stuff, but i think i touches are also cool, because they are popular these days, and plus laptops to people have i phones think that laptops are extinct, i still love laptops, but i think i touches are cool to use, and i touches have a way to inspire many people! Thank you Jennifer Blaine for listening to every one's question, this improves everything in our daily lives, you never know, someday, everyone's wish may come true cause' of you!

  13. Ok laptops would be amazing my frirnd goes to houston christian and she uses laptops for everyclass she says its ten times easier to do everything bc everything is on your laptop. I think also we need less homework even our teachers are complaining about all they have to grade and along the lines of laptops all we would have to do is send the teachers our homework and thats all no more wasting paper its perfect. I also used to go to cornerstone and now they have macs and stuff along that line, they all stared wen we left last year it totally wasnt fair haha

  17. My parents never listen to me. I try to tell them the things that are wrong, and they just.wont. listen. I've tried several approaches and it just winds up with my dad yelling and me crying, wishing i could just run away and never be found. so when i don't talk to my parents, they get really mad at me because im NOT talking to them. it's like one step foward and two steps back. it doesnt matter what i do, im gonna lose.

  19. At our school, we are allowed to use eletronics before or after school.. its harsh if you need to call your parents. i have actually had situations where you say something and nobody listens, then an adult says the exact same thing, and people love it. it's stressful! sometimes you feel like your voice was stronger, so you would have the will to speak up.
